CDG has significantly bolstered the value and effectiveness of its Evaluation
and Selection process by adding the research arm of Gartner, Inc. to
its toolbox. Gartner is an industry leader in identifying and analyzing
business trends and technologies. What this means for CDG's clients
is that they can feel even more confident about selecting the right
Human Capital Management System (HCMS) for their needs. They can expect
objective, custom results backed by more than 600 Gartner Analysts and
more than 20 years of CDG expertise in the HCMS industry. And by taking
advantage of CDG's relationship with Gartner, the client may save tens
of thousands of dollars over attempting to complete the evaluation in-house.
Gartner has developed a thorough information database on leading HCMS
vendors. Every feature and all functionality of each HCMS are gathered
from the vendor through more than 2,000 questions. Then, this information
is verified and rated by end-users of each system. All information is
updated monthly. For the client's information, Gartner lists new features
and benefits of the very latest versions, but this information isn't
used in the actual analysis until the vendors' claims can be verified
by end-users.
This is a powerful and exclusive tool that we are now able to offer
our clients. There are only four other consulting companies in the nation
currently offering this Gartner HR and payroll selection tool.
But this is only a tool and does not replace experienced HCMS consulting.
Without experienced HCMS consultants leading the client through the
process, the client may actually perform the evaluation for products
that are not the very best fit for the organization. The proper solution
set will vary based on the unique circumstances of the client. It is
the depth of experience that the consultants bring to the process that
keeps the evaluation on track and leads the client to the most appropriate
decision.
CDG has focused on Human Resources and Payroll systems for more than
20 years. It isn't a consulting firm that dabbles in all kinds of systems.
It is a focused organization that intimately knows the ins and outs
of planning, developing and operating human resources and payroll departments,
also known as Human Capital Management.
