Anniversary for HR Consulting Firm
CDG & Associates Looks Forward to the Next Twenty

CDG & Associates, a national consulting firm specializing in Human Resources, celebrates twenty years in business this fall. Over the course of twenty years
of providing Human Resources Information Systems and Human Resources consulting services to clients around the nation, the company has experienced transformations aplenty. “We are firmly committed to the next twenty years in business, and to taking the company to Cynthia Driskill’s, (our founder) original goal of being nationally recognized as one of the Best Companies to Work For,” says CEO Deborah Driskill.

Over the past twenty years CDG has been recognized nationally and locally with more than 40 awards, has served more than 300 clients, and has logged more than a
million project hours. CDG’s growth plans include re-branding itself in the marketplace, adding new strategic service offerings within its suite of HR consulting services, continuing to change the face of IT recruiting with its open-book practices, and transforming the world of Workforce Analytics with the SAS Human Capital Management (HCM) suite of software products. CDG will continue to expand upon its client base by marketing its Woman-Owned Business (WBE), DBE, and HUB certifications in the public and private sector while maintaining its award-winning culture. CDG stands for: Consulting Delivery Guaranteed.

CDG announces these new service offerings: Painless Planning of HR Systems Technology and Enabling users of HRIS to get a “100,000 mile new lease on life”. The Strategic Systems Planning Service (SSPS) is a new standard to enable clients to understand and deploy high impact human resource information technology. A practical and focused process, the Strategic Systems Planning Service is an intensive two-week service designed to maximize the value of HR systems. “The Strategic Systems Planning Service (SSPS) is an exciting new HR technology consultancy” said Deborah Driskill, CEO of CDG.“It is a painless way that organizations can develop an effective strategic plan to manage human resource technology”. The resultant plan enables companies to make informed decisions about time or resource constraints, operational costs, and overall value to the organization.

A new era of human resource systems management has been entered. Organizations around the globe are struggling with a need to improve performance. Downsizing, outsourcing, consolidation, acquisitions, divestitures, and technological change are but a few of very serious issues facing human resource information management. Planning for the ever-increasing complexity of issues is a growing problem. Traditional planning methods have a tendency to be laborious and pedantic with questionable utility. SSPS is a focused process devoid of non-essential information gathering and wasted time.

“Strategic Systems Planning for HR systems is very important.” says Roderick Munn, CDG’s VP Strategic Solutions. “As a result, it can’t simply be an academic exercise. The issues involved are just too important".

Among other important issues, the Strategic Systems Planning Service reviews function, processes, technology, data, and constraints.Considering the HR systems vision, there is direct hands-on assessment and evaluation of the business, human resources, information technology.

CDG’s second new service offering is designed to extend the operational life of existing human resource information systems. CDG’s service, HRIS Enterprise Optimization provides clients with an effective way to leverage existing HR systems without expensive technology upgrades or disruptive reorganization.

“It’s important that our clients have alternatives,” said Deborah Driskill, President and CEO. “It simply is not necessary for clients to be held hostage to technology. There are always ways to extend and enhance HRIS operation”.

HRIS Enterprise Optimization has a single goal to improve client HRIS operations. All key people, processes, and technologies are considered accordingly. Designed to strengthen existing operations, HRIS Enterprise Optimization is a process that utilizes best practices in the assessment, evaluation, and design of HRIS solutions.

“Many organizations have employed HRIS approaches that are tantamount to smashing an ant with a sledge hammer. This often results in unused or poorly used modules. It suggests a poor fit,” said Roderick Munn, VP of Strategic Solutions. “Resource expenditures and errors rise, and productivity falls. Rectifying this situation is where CDG shines.”

Many organizations have implemented a variety of HRIS products with the expectation that human resource information management, hence human resource management, would be improved. After many months of expensive, confusing, and non-productive effort, too many organizations complete implementations only to find that productivity and profitability have actually fallen.

With the goal of improving client operations, HRIS Enterprise Optimization has two objectives.First, it is necessary to restore the client to productive and profitable work. Second, where required, it is important to align people, process, and technology to meet long-term corporate goals. All too often, over the objection of employees, HRIS technology has been implemented at the expense of the corporation. CDG is poised to eliminate the battle lines and help organizations obtain the HRMS value they seek.

“With our fresh face and high-value new service offerings, we are transforming ourselves into the new organization that will effectively carry us through the next two decades,” Driskill says.
