Local CEOs Unite For March Of Dimes WalkAmerica

A single clay brick has little value.  Perhaps it can be used to hold down a stack of papers or keep a door from slamming shut.  But when assembled with many more bricks, and fortified with mortar, the result can be a great castle or majestic cathedral.  That is the rationale behind a group of Dallas / Ft. Worth area CEOs who are joining together to collectively walk in the April 27th March of DimesWalkAmerica.  Cynthia Driskill, CEO of CDG is organizing the event for leaders of companies withrevenues between $3 million and $20 million.  “We’re taking this approach so we can make a much greater contribution to the March of Dimes,” Driskill said.  “Large companies, with many more resources and more employees can make a great impact.  Together, the CEOs of smaller companies can also make a significant contribution,” Driskill said.

The team of CEOs will have their own tent at the event and wear matching t-shirts as they walk together at White Rock Lake for the 10-mile trek.   Team participants include Cynthia Driskill, CDG, Ed Rankin, PeopleSolutions, Adrienne Beam, Insite, Charlie Tusa, Tusa Office Solutions, David Spurlin, Microwave Transmission Systems, Don Hanratty, Optimance, Drew Clancy, Publishing Concepts, Greg Carr, Carr Law Firm, Keela Narramore, Team Builders, Larry Burgess, Helmsman Financial Partners, Larry King, KGA Group, Linda Crawford, Delta Dallas, Lois Melbourne, TimeVision, Matt Fossen, Viking Capital Group, Inc., Rex Kurzius, Resulte, Rollie Waters, Waters Consulting Group, Tom Sadler, Executive Press, Valerie Freeman, Imprimis, Ziggy Pflaster, and Zimports International. This is the first year of what Rankin says will be an annual event.  “I envision this growing larger each year and spreading to other locations around the country,” Driskill said.

All WalkAmerica net proceeds benefit the March of Dimes and its mission to prevent birth defects and reduce infant mortality.  Funds are used for research, education, community services and advocacy programs to help ensure that all babies have a healthy start in life.  WalkAmerica represents hope for the health and future of babies.
