A U.S.-based construction corporation routinely managed the training and certification status of its trade workers through paper forms.  This required manual entry into a system by administrative personnel.  There was a relatively high opportunity for human error from interpreting the paper document, and there was duplication of effort as one person had to complete the form and another person had to put the same information into the system.  The pEople team's idea was to improve this process by creating a secure online system through the existing corporate Intranet, serving 1,200 workers across 27 states, where trade workers could update their own certification status online and report any new continuing education credits.
